1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They can be used to remember information about your visit, such as how you found the site or how you use it.
2. Cookies used on wordpresto.com
We use two analytics tools, both of which set their own cookies:
- Google Analytics — cookies such as _ga and _gid, used to measure page views, referrers and general usage patterns.
- Microsoft Clarity — cookies such as _clck and _clsk, used for anonymised session recordings and heatmaps that show how visitors use the site.
We do not currently run a cookie-consent banner. If you are visiting from a region where consent is required before non-essential cookies are set, you can prevent them using the browser controls below.
3. Sign-in on app.wordpresto.com
The App does not use cookies to keep you signed in. Instead, your session token is stored in your browser’s local storage. Clearing your browser’s site data for app.wordpresto.com will sign you out.
4. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Google provides a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Microsoft Clarity respects the "Do Not Track" browser setting where supported. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. We will update the effective date above when we do.
