The most common cause for a missing www in your website URL is the initial installation of WordPress. Many automatic installation utilities such as Fantastico leave out the www when you specify your domain name.
This is fairly straightforward to solve.
1. Log in to WordPress as Admin.
2. Click on Settings
3. Look for the two fields “WordPress address (URL)” & “Blog address (URL)”.
4. Add www. to both URLs. It is important that you update both fields.
5. Save your settings.
You will be automatically logged out. You will now see that www has been added to your URL.
